In 2016, he founded GM Consulting, a professional consultancy firm specializing in providing specialized technical and engineering services to companies engaged in advancing control and measurement devices and components. Prior to this venture, his roles included Design and Development Engineer, Engineering Manager, VP of Engineering, VP of Manufacturing, and Consulting Applications Engineer.
Mr. Maurer’s distinguished career has been characterized by his instrumental contributions that have led to the evolution of flow meters and control valve product lines, transforming them from abstract concepts into market-ready solutions that remain relevant to this day. His extensive expertise encompasses effective management of manufacturing facilities, coordination of international supply chains, and delivery of technical presentations. He has consistently showcased exemplary leadership, adept problem-solving skills, and a penchant for innovative solutions, particularly in addressing challenges related to project management and supply chain integration.
Throughout his multifaceted leadership journey, Mr. Maurer has captivated audiences through persuasive presentations. Notably, he delivered a captivating dissertation titled ‘A New Ultrasonic Gas Flow Meter: The Core of a Natural Gas Energy Measurement System’ at the North Sea Flow Measurement Workshop. He has also made substantial contributions to publications in his field, with notable papers such as ‘Low Pressure Gas Measurement Using Ultrasonic Technology’ and ‘Energy Measurement Using Ultrasonic Meters and Gas Chromatography’.
Mr. Maurer holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart in Germany and the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO. Outside his professional pursuits, he derives joy from the companionship of his wife and engages in outdoor activities such as cycling, running, and swimming. An active member of his church community, he ardently participates in Bible Studies and plays an active role in the Bible Study Fellowship International (BSF).
